Startups always need a coach and mentor for guidance for taking their business to new heights, which is exactly what David D’Angelo is known for doing. Based in Niagara Falls, Canada, David is a well-experienced entrepreneur, business coach and startup investor. David started his first business at the young age of 21 so he understands the challenges of being a youth entrepreneur.
After owning multiple businesses, David now focuses on coaching other entrepreneurs. David was the founder of the clean-tech manufacturing company Trivium Industries, which brought the concept of biodegradable bottles for the beauty sector to the global leading consumer brands. David grew this business prior to a successful acquisition from a competitor. Following this acquisition, David spent time as a startup investing in software as a service, financial technology, and medical device sectors. Throughout each of these experiences, David actively coached all the founding entrepreneurs as well as volunteering as an Investment Fundraising Coach at Faster Capital.
With a vast amount of experience as an entrepreneur David shifted his efforts to focus on coaching other entrepreneurs. To date, David has helped hundreds of startup and growing business owners truly understand how to operate and grow their business. David spent time as an Entrepreneur in Residence at a Tech Accelerator program, and has volunteered at many Tech Startup pitch events including Techstars. David has also won the Ontario Centres of Excellence Fellowship Award which is a prestigious Canadian entrepreneurial award for his achievements as an entrepreneur and has been featured as a Top Innovator in Canada by the Globe & Mail. One key difference with David compared to other business coaches is the fact he has direct experience as an entrepreneur, taking a business from startup to acquisition, and as a startup investor. David has been on both sides of the spectrum and truly understands the challenges and processes that entrepreneurs experience.
